"A summer night smiles three times," an old lady tells her granddaughter. "On the young, the fools, and the old.” Stephen Sondheim’s stunning tour de force musical whisks us away for a weekend in the country where old flames rekindle and love affairs ignite. Desiree Armfeldt, a famous actress, and her weekend guests, including an ex-lover, Fredrik and his much-younger bride, have their plans upset by her current paramour—a very jealous count. The hit "Send in the Clowns" and elegant waltzes drive this bittersweet comedy—the winner of six Tony awards including best musical, script, and score. Inspired by the Ingmar Berman film Smiles of a Summer Night, the production will feature sets and costumes by iconic American designer Isaac Mizrahi and stars audience favorites Kelly Kaduce and Joyce Castle.

This production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International.
