IPR broadcasts Heggie's Dead Man Walking

As part of its 2021 Arias in April series, Iowa Public Radio will broadcast our 2014 production of Jake Heggie and Terrence McNally's Dead Man Walking. Based on Sister Helen Prejean’s gripping memoir about her fight for the soul of a condemned murderer, Dead Man Walking tells the modern-day story of a nun who becomes the spiritual advisor to a convicted man on death row in Louisiana. This 2014 production is sung in English and features Elise Quagliata as Sister Helen, David Adam Moore as Joseph De Rocher, Karen Slack as Sister Rose and Margaret Lattimore as Mrs. De Rocher with Maestro David Neely leading the DMMO Festival Orchestra.
