Join DMMO and Varsity Cinema on Wednesday, December 11 at 7pm for a pre-screening conversation with renowned opera scholar Roger Pines followed by a screening of the new film, Maria. Roger is recognized nationally and internationally as an expert in the field of opera, having served as Dramaturg at the Lyric Opera of Chicago for over 25 years. He has interviewed many of the world’s greatest opera stars and had the opportunity to meet Maria Callas after one of her final performances. This special event is presented by Des Moines Metro Opera and Des Moines Film.
