I started to write down some thoughts to adequately express the impact that Dr. Robert L. Larsen had on my life and quickly realized that the integration of our lives was too intricate to fully express here. He has been a part of my entire life, first through his mentoring and collaborative relationship with my mother (Carol Stuart). Then through my years as an undergraduate at Simpson College (1972 - 1976). Later as a encouraging supporter of my early operatic career coaching me for the Goldovsky tour of "La Boheme" which I performed across the US in 1982, as well as offering me roles at DMMO and having me return as guest artist for Simpson College oratorio performances. Because of the high standards he set for "success", I adopted these for myself in many aspects of my life (not only singing) and for this I will always be indebted. There is a hole in my heart where this giant of a man filled with his presence for these past 66 years. I am grateful I was able to tell him all of this this last time we were together. Rest in Peace Dr. Larsen, you live forever in my soul.
