DES MOINES METRO OPERA OFFERS SHUTTLE SERVICE FOR EVERY PERFORMANCE

Indianola, IA— Des Moines Metro Opera (DMMO) will offer Opera Shuttle service for every performance of its 2026 Festival Season, providing convenient round-trip transportation from Ames and Des Moines to Indianola for just $25. New this season, the expanded service ensures that audiences have easy access to every performance, beginning with opening night of Puccini's Tosca on June 26. 
 
The Opera Shuttle includes round-trip transportation with arrivals timed for the free pre-performance talk, held 45 minutes before each show. Pickups are available at North Grand Mall in Ames and the Des Moines Downtown Marriott, offering a simple and reliable way to enjoy the opera without the need to drive.
 
Serving audiences across central Iowa and beyond, the Opera Shuttle reflects DMMO’s commitment to making world-class opera accessible to all. With many patrons traveling from around the metro and across the country, the expanded service helps ensure that transportation is never a barrier to experiencing the Festival.
 
The Opera Shuttle is generously sponsored by Wellabe, with additional support from the City of Ames Commission on the Arts (COTA) and CIT Signature Transportation.
