IPR broadcasts Sondheim's Sweeney Todd

Iowa Public Radio kicks off its Opera in October series with a radio broadcast of our 2021 production of Stephen Sondheim's musical thriller, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. 

This production of Sweeney Todd is sung in English and features Zachary Nelson as Sweeney, Lucy Schaufer as Mrs. Lovett, Grace Kahl as Johanna, Ben Edquist at Anthony, Christian Sanders as Tobias, Zoie Reams as the Beggar Woman, Wayne Tigges as Judge Turpin, Corey Bix as Beadle Bamford, Peter Scott Drackley as Pirelli and Andrew Gilstrap as Fogg with Maestro David Neely conducting the DMMO Festival Orchestra.
